What is it?

As the YWCA Canada Web site explains, "Siren activation sends an emergency email to a preset SOS contact with approximate coordinates and places an emergency outgoing call to a pre-programmed number." The app also includes information on connecting with local resources, such as emergency hotlines and health centres.
